Executive Boardroom, Scottsdale

Black Marble Top on a Fluted Solid Wood Base

A 16 ft executive boardroom table with a black marble top, the slab laid out so the white veining runs across the seats that face the display wall. The base is fluted solid wood, stained to the room's existing millwork, and an LED reveal sits in the shadow line where stone meets wood.

The company logo is engraved and inlaid into the stone at the head of the table, with the same mark set in contrasting stone on the vertical waterfall end panel. Power and data are cut in flush at the seat positions and routed inside the base to the floor box, so nothing hangs beneath the table.

Materials and Fabrication

Stone Tops, Wood Bases, Steel Where It Carries Load

Tops are granite, marble or quartzite, selected slab by slab for the project. Bases are solid walnut or white oak, fluted or paneled, finished to the room. Blackened steel goes in where the structure needs it or where a reveal reads better in metal. Wood is used for bases, not for tops.

Integrated Technology

Power, Data and AV Cut Into the Finished Table

Device locations are set by seat position and floor box location before fabrication starts, then cut and finished so the table reads as furniture. The photographs below show flush power and data in a stone top and a boardroom where the table connectivity was planned with the room's display and conferencing system.

The Room Around the Table

Seating, Clearance and Companion Pieces

Seat count, chair size and walking clearance get worked out against the real room dimensions, not a catalog chart. Lounge and waiting-area pieces can be built from the same slab and the same wood while there is still material left from the layout, so the whole floor reads as one project.

The Cashwood Companies

Where the Experience Comes From

Cashwood Innovations works on high-end homes and projects through technology, AV and automation. CashScapes extends that work into architectural and landscape lighting. AZ Boardrooms brings the same coordination into custom executive conference and boardroom tables.

The table, the lighting above it and the technology inside it are usually three different trades. Across the Cashwood companies they get coordinated by people who already work together.
