Why Custom

Built for the Room, Not Picked From a Catalog

Most conference tables come in standard sizes, materials and finishes. Executive spaces do not.

Send us the plans, room dimensions, seat count, material direction and technology requirements. We design the table around the project.

Completed Work

One Table, Every Detail Decided On Purpose

A recent executive boardroom build: a black marble top with the veining laid out across the seats that face the camera, a fluted solid wood base stained to the room's millwork, and an LED reveal in the shadow line where the two meet.

The company logo is engraved and inlaid into the stone at the head of the table, and the same mark is set in contrasting stone on the waterfall end panel. Power and data are cut in flush at the seat positions, routed inside the base to the floor box.

Materials

Stone, Wood and Steel

Materials get combined in one table: a granite or quartzite top over a solid walnut pedestal, a marble waterfall edge on a blackened steel frame. Slabs and species are selected for the specific project.

Stone

Granite, marble and quartzite tops

The top is stone. Slabs are selected for the project, then laid out so the veining lands where it should on the surface and carries through any mitered edge. Finish, thickness and edge profile are chosen per table, and the layout is confirmed before a saw touches the slab.

  • Granite, marble and quartzite
  • Leathered, honed and polished finishes
  • Vein-matched miters and waterfall edges
  • Engraved and stone-inlaid logo detail

Wood

Walnut and white oak bases

Wood does the work below the surface. Solid walnut and white oak bases, pedestals and panels, fluted or flat, stained and sheened to sit with the millwork already in the room rather than compete with it.

  • Solid walnut and white oak
  • Fluted and flat-panel bases
  • Pedestal and twin-base configurations
  • Custom stain and sheen matching

Steel & Detail

Structure, reveals and trim

Steel carries long spans inside the substructure where nobody sees it, then shows up deliberately as reveals, trim and base detail. Metal finishes and Schluter profiles are matched to the hardware and metals already specified.

  • Blackened and brushed metal finishes
  • Structural substructure for long tables
  • Schluter and metal reveal trim
  • LED reveals at the top edge or base

Beyond the Table

Coffee Tables, End Tables and Lounge Surfaces

The boardroom is rarely the only room on the floor. Waiting areas, lounges and executive offices usually get furnished separately, from a different catalog, in a stone that almost matches.

We build those pieces from the same slab and the same wood as the table, with the same edge and base language, so the floor reads as one project. Ask about it while the table is still in design, when there is still slab left from the layout.

Integrated Technology

The Technology Disappears Into the Table

Power, data and AV are designed in from the start. Devices are placed by seat position and floor box location, then cut and finished so the table reads as furniture, not equipment.

We draw on the AV and technology integration work done through Cashwood Innovations, so power, data and connectivity get planned with the table instead of added after it.

Power

Flush or pop-up power cut into the top where people sit, coordinated with the floor box locations.

USB-C & Data

USB-C charging and hardwired data at the seat positions the room needs, not spread evenly out of habit.

AV Connectivity

HDMI, control and conferencing inputs designed into the table so the room's AV system has a clean point of connection.

Cable Management

Chases and trays inside the base and substructure. Cabling routes to the floor box without hanging under the table.

Process

Design, Rendering, Fabrication, Installation

Bring plans, dimensions or a concept. Four steps from that to a finished table set in the room.

  1. 01

    Design

We start from your plans, dimensions, seat count and design intent. Clearances, base locations and material direction get resolved on paper first.

  2. 02

    Rendering

You see the table rendered before fabrication starts, so the shape, slab layout and proportions are approved by the people signing off.

  3. 03

    Fabrication

Built in Arizona. Slabs are laid out and cut, the substructure is fabricated, and device cores are cut for the specified power and data.

  4. 04

    Installation

Delivered and assembled on site, sectioned when access requires it, and set over the floor boxes it was designed around.
